    Oh man, I feel like an absolute moron... I'd miss wired that part of the plug... fucking cock of the year candidate right here ladies and gents.

    So now just need to solder the dimmer and mount em. Thanks for all your help folks. If nothing else, I learnt how to test diodes

    Its between 130 and 140w

    May try the friver i bought for it originally which is rated at 150w as I trimmed a cable on that so worried they won't accept the return

    It happens... we all have these moments where we just get everything wrong... I misted a clone with kitchen cleaner, Bud polished his table with fly spray... like I say, we all have moments

    A good way to test wiring colours like that is grab the red or black and when you wake up across the room (if you wake up). you'll know that the green & yellow is not the live! My mate did it this way but he only did the one time.
