The one thing about the Lucas formula that bothers me is the N. See how dark the leaves are and how many?

The micro that you use with the Lucas formula has more N then the grow does. JMO

Good to know since I usually drain-out most if not all N in the end. What's the solution then...cut back on the micro?

I honestly have no idea. That's why I have never grown using the Lucas formula.

The reason my autos were dark green I'm putting down to the fact i was feeding the soil Lucas formula in Coco.

A reduced amount is needed for Coco.

Still managed 15oz from 3 plants of high quality buuuuuds

    Sent from my anus

The lucas formula is low N.

GH Micro is 5-0-1 and GH Bloom is 0-5-4. As twice as much Bloom is used, Micro and Bloom combined is 5-10-9.

GH FloraNova Bloom can also be used as the lucas formula. It's 4-8-7. Some reports that it gives better results than 0/8/16.

A characteristic of the lucas formula is smaller plants and lime green leaves. Allegedly the same yield per plant although I wouldn't swear to that. Certainly more yield per square foot compared to high N nutes if you fill the space.

tbf, I haven't seen lime green leaves recently. I suspect that something has changed. Maybe not the % of N, perhaps a change that makes more of the existing N available to the plant.
