I don't mind if you want to start it in a small pot/vending cup but, TBH, it's best just to start in the Pepsi bottle

Lol, my plan was to let the medium dry out a bit so it shrinks and pulls away from the sides of the bottle, when putting it back in, maybe use a spray bottle to mist the inside to act as a lubricant.Waiting on midnight and I'm all ready to go. Thats how I grew mine out last year.
I just submerged the bottle to fill it up each time, it would have been very hard to try and get water past the stem otherwise.
