    Hi Folks,

For those who know me I do two grows a year generally from September to April. and I currently have a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m tent.

I am looking to upgrade both my tent and my ventilation, as it is all about 5 or 6 years old.

So my question is this, I am looking at getting slightly bigger tent, and BudBox do a 1.5m x 1.5m x 2.2m tent, which is a nice little upgrade and some extra headspace. I am looking at getting an AC infinity extraction fan and a new carbon filter, and fan controller, but I am unsure what size to get for this tent?

At the minute I have a massive 8" extraction fan and carbon filter, because I could run this at 50% with hardly any noise. Noise is a factor so any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'd still go with 8" or larger, but I like having headroom on my kit & as you say it's quieter (might want to avoid the AC Infinity carbon filter).

I know you loose headroom, but that fancy 600W Lumatek you're going to get will allow the plants to grow right up to them

I agree, if you want it as quiet as possible go for as big as you can.
Why avoid ac infinity carbon filter?

Cheers Blunt, Yeah I will definitely be upgrading to a LED in the near future but think after 6 years its time to upgrade the tent and a few things inside, I am still using a ecotechnic controller which is good, but not very modern and very large, but it has done the trick.

To be honest I think I will go 8", as I already have a massive carbon filter I can use, and really good sound proofed ducting, and I will just upgrade the fan and controller

Another quick question on the AC infinity kit, if i get a 6" intake fan, and I was also after some of the new AC Infitinty S6 fans (4 of them), will they all connect and operate off the standard controller, or is it better to get the upgraded controller?.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

The 67 controller can only run 2 fans at a time, and I think they both have to run on the same settings.
Not sure if the 67 is the standard, or upgraded controller though.

Cheers Doink, thats answers the question, and many thanks to B1unt as well

Also saves me a few quid on ducting and a carbon filter, looking forward to starting growing again, hopefully with an all new setup

When I started up again using the hall cupboard, I used what I already had. Which meant an 8" rvk and filter for a 7 sft groom. The fan was ran at 40% and was still way too powerful.

I changed to an AC Infinity S4. I kept the 8" filter. There's an 8" to 4" reducer each end of the S4. It works. Apart from having to buy reducers, you will have no problems running an S6 with an 8" filter.
