Well, I would have said no, as the life cycle of an Autoflower is pre-programmed, so not really worth the effort and the results would be disappointing and not worth the bother.
I gifted a Gorilla Cookie Auto to a friend, basically, he is a Photoperiod grower and never tried to grow an Auto, so I told him what he could and couldn't do with an Autoflower.
But despite my dire warnings, he's the kind of guy that does things his own way.
He repotted it several times, something I thought was a NoNo.
He took two clones from the seedling plant a little over 100 mm tall, another thing I told him not to do.
The original plant is growing and flowering in cheepo Levington Compost, on offer at Tesco's, two 40L bags will cost just £6, and its a monster, about 1.2 metres tall and covered in sticky buds, one of the clones is just 100 mm tall, yet the other is approaching 1metre tall and flowering beautifully.
So, I guess in answer to my own question, you can clone an Autoflower but it's a bit hit and miss, one worked and one didn't.
Obviously this is just a sample of two plants, so not really statistically significant, if a way can be found where it's not so hit and miss, it could potentially save us all a fortune.
Autoflowers are in veg for such a small period of time, maybe this is the key and if this could be delayed in some way, it would make a lot of growers very happy.
I would be very interested with other growers thought and experiences on Cloning Autoflowers, this has opened up my eyes on new possibilities.
