Default Unanswered: Change of growing technique need help

    Hi all

Im used to growing in an aquafarm its around 45 litres and use it successfully for most of the time growing photos (basic setup in a closet using a 600watt cooltube I always have had issues with heat and rh. I have therefore taken the plunge and bought a spiderfarmer se3000 led light and also purchased some autoflowers, my question is should I fill up my waterfarm full with 60/40 hydromix which is my normal practise for growing photos as it suits longer veg time or should i half fill it with hydromix when growing autoflowers as they finish quickly I cant imagine the roots would grow through into the reservoir before they would be due to finish this is my first bash at LEDs and Autoflowers so any help would be greatly appreciated seeds will be hatched in a few days. I have tried researching on this issue but cant seem to get any answers.

    Thanks

I’d do it as normal mate, if what your describing is like a sip container where the plants draw moisture up they’ll suck it up fine once they’re thirsty enough.

Auto’s get big if allowed to & they do what they want so you’re kind of just along for the ride.

Regarding LED try to keep the tent warm, around 24-28c lights on (I know, the opposite of what you’re used too). You probably won’t need to run them at 100% power either.

With my first auto grow, I pussy footed about treating them differently to photos. Now, whether autos or photos, I treat them the same. (Apart from not attempting a scrog with autos.) No real complaints from the autos so far.
