I'll throw my 02 cents in. You'll know you're close to harvest when all the pistils (hairs) turn red/brown and crinkly and the trichomes are all cloudy with some amber, less amber=more energetic high, more amber=more couch lock (whatever your personal preference is). The purpling of the leaves is just the phenotype, no worries there. I'd agree that you've got 3-5 weeks left to go, the buds will swell a lot during the last couple weeks. Old saying, "when you think the plants are ready for harvest, wait two more weeks!"

Some plants produce white hair even when they are done so dont rely 100% on that

When would be a good time to start the flush then? As soon as you see some amber coming through or still at milky stage?
I am going to flush for 8 days or so timing will have to be crucial.

When she is at 1-5% amber or like 60-80%cloudy. Thats how I would have done it if I where to flush for 8 days.

I have tryed 2 weeks flush , noflush, 1week and just days. No diffrence IMO.

IMO its all in the drying/curing.

I'm firmly in the flush is irrelevant camp. The only time you might want to flush is if

    1. You've heavily over-fertilised and you have a heavy excess of neuts just before harvest
    2. You want to save some cash in the last week or so as flushing = no neuts = no cost

It might seem to make sense but I don't believe there is any evidence other than "trust me bro" that flushing makes the slightest difference to the buds, trichomes, THC content or anything else.

First grow I "flushed" early and kept feeding water for about 3 weeks (EC out for the last 3 feeds was 0.1-0.2). This grow it snuck up on my and I only managed 3 days of plain water (EC out was 1.2) before harvesting. I doubt it's going to make any difference.

Start the flush if you want and if you're not ready in 8 days don't sweat it just keep watering until you're ready.
