if its the one with the small return pipes, watch out for hydroton blocking the pipes.
use ionic, its one part nutes, easy peasy to use.
get a decent ec /ph meter, bluelab is the best.
top feed em till the roots come out the bottom of the net pot.
dont feed em as much as you would in coco. start at 0.6ec, go up a point till you get to 1.1ec, flip em and stick with 1.2ec for 3 weeks, up it to 1.4ec for 3 weeks then back to 1.2 for last 3 weeks

and change nutes out religeously every 10 -14 days, or youWILL have issues
    invest in a chiller
golf ball airstones, for the win

    have fun

    I'll do the obligatory warning.

Hydro is not usually the best choice for a first time grow as even experienced growers can struggle at times as they tend to be very unforgiving. Never grown full hydro myself only passive hydro in coco just going by what others on here and the wider Internet have said. Certainly the best yield once you know what you're doing but sometimes less is more until you know what you're doing.

Also I definitely wouldn't risk 10 plants on your first grow as that's a very very expensive learning curve. One mistake and that's potentially 100's down the drain so if you could maybe do 2 or 4 on the first grow to reduce your risks and you know what you're doing you're going to thank yourself.

Also you don't mention anything else in your setup. Assuming it's LED 10 plants is going to need in excess of 1000W which is a lot of (expensive) light. You're also going to need a lot of extraction and airflow. I also trust you have at least 8*4 dedicated to this (2.5m*1.5m) and with that little space it's going to be really cramped. Ideally you need 10*4 or 8*6 (3m*2m) or more. To cover that with enough light you're looking at either 2 long 600w or 4 square 300w lights at a minimum.

Growing multiple plants at a time seems like a great idea until you try and grow 1 and realise how much effort/resources 10 would take.

Sorry to be a buzzkill but hey better you hear it from me than blow £200 ($250) of seeds.

I've deleted the other thread, no worries Bogsmokefarm

You won't go wrong with the two Zeus LED's based off of the results I've seen from growers on here that use them, and I reckon you won't struggle with high heat in the summer time with those either, especially if you're used to HPS.

Always nice getting more seeds in, and that book is cool, I like it lol..I keep my seeds in the fridge mind, seems to help keep them better and seeds germinated from the cold always crack their shells so much quicker and easier in my experience.

If you keep that book somewhere nice and cool, (the colder the better), I reckon you're onto a winner.

Sounds like a very cool project, I would defo check it out and I know others would too if you decided to share it with us all here

You could post it over in the 'Grow Room Design and Setups' section.
