Sorry for such a long delay but had some real life things pop up.
So after adding the weed and seeing how much butter it absorbed I added more butter. Total amount was 4 3/4 lbs of butter.
Simmered for 8 hours adding more water as needed. Then it was strained.
I covered with plate and pressed out what I could. Then dumped in to another bowl.
After this I pressed it all thru a potato ricer.
I saved the bio mass because I could see it still had butter in it. Went in to plastic bags and in the freezer. When I run low I will heat it up in some
water and strain and press again. I am sure there will be at least a cup of butter in return.
Put in fridge overnight and got this beautiful butter puck back.
The next day I didn't like how green it was so I melted the butter and added water and heated it to almost boiling.
I then put back in the fridge overnight and ended up with this.
It's still greener then how I usually make it but I have never used so much material before. I may melt it down one more time before freezing.
The above butter puck weighs 3lbs so there should be more to recover in the bio mass.
