Mine has a max draw of 860 watts and runs at 1.8liters per kwh.

Just had another look, mine is actually even less at 219w. Says it costs 6p an hour to run at the 28p kWh rate. So it will be about 10p or so an hour to run in October. Depending on how many hours it's on could be £17 a week just for that.

Probably less than that unless it's running all the time. Mine never runs in veg and turns on and off a few times a day to maintain flower RH.

Yeah, probably won't be running 24/7. Might cut the light down to 20/4, unless it messes up the environment and I end up having to run the dehumidifier for 4 hours, which would kind of defeat the purpose. Either way I'll probably be paying around £40 a week at 50p kWh.

I dont have it on a timer. I use the built in RH settings. Durring early flower, when RH hits 55 the condenser turns off. Mid flower I lower ro 50 and late flower 45.

I also don't have a timer, I have mine on continuous. But when it reaches the selected RH it shuts off for 30min, when it comes back on if the RH is in range it will shut off for another 30min. Problem is round here it can be very humid, which means it is rarely off this time of year.

You can control the humidity(to a point) but controlling the intake airflow and the temperature.
Cause a strong vacuum and keep the temps around 30c, you humidity should be low.

Add a few trays of water and turn your fans down low and the humidty should rise a lot.

They may have "capped" the rates but to make up for it the government are still effectively giving the energy companies *BILLIONS* in tax payers money through their £400 "rebate" and other schemes.

In order to pay for all these measures, the government needs to fund it and as they've completely ruled out a windfall tax on the energy companies it is coming straight out of OUR taxes. Either that or it will be on a levy on energy bills for years to come. If it comes from general taxation then taxpayers will be paying this back over the next 10-15 YEARS through higher taxes and/or reduced public spending. This is ALL to maintain the profits that the energy companies now enjoy. You know the profits that go straight to benefit shareholders.

If all that wasn't enraging enough then just for good measure, Liz Truss, who brokered this "deal" used to work for Shell albeit in a relatively junior position. She has no interest in applying a windfall tax to the 170 BILLION in profit the oil and gas companies are expected to make this year. It also no doubt has nothing to do with the 1.5million in donations the conservative party has received from the oil and gas industry since the last election.

But it's all going to be ok, rather than accelerate non fossil fuel energy generation, they've lifted the ban on fracking so we can rely on a good supply from that soon - and we all know how well fracking is going in the US...

So enjoy the cap, we're all still going to be paying for it for the next 10-20 years while the energy companies continue to grossly overcharge and make billions and billions in profit.
