    You want to be able to see the grow medium when you look down from the top. This airflow is crucial to prevent budrot and to allow the lower buds to get air and light so they can properly ripen. The benefits of pruning far outweigh the risks imo.

    I wouldn't be using a humidifier. If you meant a dehumidifier, then yes.

    removing some large fan leaves will cause a slight shock to your plants but not as much shock as losing all your large colas to mold due to moisture building up at this crucial stage of flower,

    Better? No. A dehumidifier is an excellent addition but removing about 10 leaves will make a massive difference in plant happiness. I would remove a few key leaves that block the light and air and set the dehumidifier to 45.
