    Default Unanswered: can anything be done at this stage?

    got 3 fast buds tangie autos that are 74 days old

    I was watering them today and see a lot of white damage on one of the main cola fan leaves

    I looked under my magnifying glass and have spotted these little moving larvae

    I always spray my plants in the veg stage with neem oil and soap and have never had a issue up untill today and being at this stage in flower I'm lost as for what I can do

    any reply would be greatly appreciated thank you

    the first 3 photos are the most affected plant and the slowest in flower out of the 3 Click image for larger version.

    Default can anything be done at this stage?

    Looking around online it Possibly looks like thrips mate (that or fungus gnat larva - although they damage roots not leaves).
    I’ve not had them before, so I have no idea what you should do to get rid of them. Although if they are autos, you shouldn’t have very long left… you could always wait till you’ve chopped and wash the buds… I wouldn’t give a foliar spray at the moment, last thing you need now is mouldy buds

    Also recently picked up a bug cover for my intake fan, it’s basically just tights you put on the end of the duct to stop it sucking bugs into the tent. Might be an idea to help reduce the chances of it happening again

    I’m not nearly as well versed on bugs as the other members though, so maybe you have more options… but washing them at the end seems to be a popular choice in other pest posts late in flower
    Hope all goes well for ya mate, those girls look good, tangie is a strain I’ve had on my list since I heard about it!

    Edit: I’ve just remembered you could also look into predator bugs, harmless to your plants but will eliminate the pests

    I'm not 100% sure what pest that is, and I can't see any leaf damage that would help with an exact identification either, but they could very well be thrip larvae, as it does look similar. Since these are 74 days old autos, there is really nothing that can be sprayed, I certainly wouldn't advise it anyway, as you don't want to be inhaling/ingesting any nasty stuff, that's for sure.

    Predator mites are not really an option either unfortunately simply because they won't have enough time to establish themselves to combat them, on top of which, by the time they are able to do anything, you'll be harvesting anyway, so you'll just have more bugs to clean come chop time. With preds you also need to get 100% identification of the pest, because their are different preds for different pests, but again, I would not advise you to use preds at this late stage, but if you really wanted to use them, it won't have any negative effects on the plants, it's just that you won't get your moneys worth in my opinion.

    I think you should just ride it out now since there is not so long to go, you could get some sticky traps, remove any you see just to keep the numbers down if you want and then come harvest time washing your buds is a good option.

    We have a few bud washing guides on the forum, here is one of them ;
