Depends on the tap. If tap + nutes =5.3 I would want it back up to 6. Even in soil

I think it depends on how 'alive' the soil is. The plant should manage it's own ph level by supporting the development of bacteria and fungi around its roots but I reckon if your soil is relatively inert because your growing method doesn't encourage an active soil ecosystem, then I agree, ph'ing the water might be necessary.

As ReggieD is using bottled bio nutes I guess he can choose to go either way? Could try innoculating with beneficials.

The bio nutes are still salt based. The manufacturer recommends PH balancing the feed.

If soil is fully alive then only water should be needed. I am currently on a water only grow using living soil.

Thats how they look as for today. Do you think it would affect the yield? Cus as far as I understand with the photoperiods can be fixed before flipping them to flower so I’d give them time to recover flush them etc. and then I prun them to get rid of the shitty leaves. Am I right.

Yeah, spot on, once you correct it, that will be ancient history by the time you harvest.

I always assumed these nutes were cold pressed organic material, hydrolysate, that kind of thing. What's the difference between say, canna terra and canna bio, then, i wonder?

Been following your diary, it's always really interesting, I am also in living soil and love not having to mix batches of nutrients and ph them any more.
