    Default Water change

Am growing with a dwc with 6 30L pots. I empty the system every week an put a new feed in. Am just seeing if am doing new feeds to often. I have to spend a lot on nutrients I feel like am just throwing money away because I pumping out like 3 quarter full pots just to do a new feed. How long will the nutrients stay good for in the pots. An should I change what am doing or keep it the way am doing it thanks

I used to dump the res once a week in my flood and drain system.
I dont do it anymore as like you say it’s money down the drain.

The way I work now is to let the res get low then top up with fresh water and add nutrient to the measure of the freshly added water.I only change it if I get problems with the ph or issues with growth that I’ve been unable to fix through other measures.
Are all the pots connected or individual ?

There connected pots. Might try an give it ago like that. Can easily change it if the plants start to go bad. Thanks

If they’re small & not drinking much, then the nutrients would “stay good” for longer.

As the plants drink more they’ll pull more nutrients from the solution, therefore it would need to be replaced more often

*Edit: Maybe going longer between changes until the plants are really drinking & stay topped up as consumption rises?
