Got to say I haven't gotten around to identifying lichen yet. Thanks for taking us along.

Neither plant nor animal lichens are in a world all their own.

Last one I had to identify from my last venture.

    Deer Mushrooms (Pluteus Cervinus)

    Here’s a bug’s-eye-view.

It was easy to see how the HOOF FUNGUS (Fomes fomentarius) got its name.

SHEEP LAUREL (Kalmia angustifolia} with its droopy-ear leaves

Ah… the symbiotic VEILED POLYPORE (Crptoporus volvatus)

Growing on the bark of a live conifer this fungi certainly got my attention right way. Theory goes this specialized polypore decomposes pine sap leaking from Pine Beetle hole damage. When growing it forms a “veil” under its cap to protect the young spores. The Pine Beetles then returns to dine on the fungus, backpacking the new spores, and symbiotically dispersing them to other conifers. Pine Beetle damage continues the fungus cycle.

I tried. Found a few that looked identical but they are not identified.

That's why I won't forage for mushrooms. To easy to misidentify.
