    Default Maz & V8 for the WIN !! - Mentored by V8

    Hello chaps,

Time has come to finally create this thread

After few grows behind my belt i've came to conclusion my knowledge is still poor, so i decided what is the best way to learn if not from the best, hence i have reached out to few fellow members i have good vibes here on forum. First person who came to my mind was our mate @V8 as he always was mega helpful regards my issues and questions over here, to start with he wasn't really keen on mentoring me, firstly cause he never grew autos, secondly and see doesnt grow in soil, but im pretty sure he was just trying to be humble and modest After reaching out to few other members here with no go results, V8 cameback to me and said fk it LETS DO IT ! Much to my delight i was really happy he changed his mind and finally i found someone i can soak wisdom from

So lets get to some details now, what will be cooked etc :

After reading good reviews and wanting to try something else then fastbuds i came across breeder called Mephisto Genetcis probably known to some people over here, the choice was [B]Super Orange Haze[B]. When the order came to my surprise there was a bonus pack with 2 seeds of Skywalker x Creme de la Chem i thought there will be only 1 seed though so the plan was run 3 SOH seeds and 1 bonus seed, but cause i have 2 bonus seeds thought would be cool to 2 and 2 ( even i ordered only 3 seeds of SOH i was again surprised by Mephisto Genetics as i've received 5 seeds

So as for now plan is :

    2 x Super Orange Haze
2 x Skywalker x Creme de la cheme

    Now to the nutes :

My previous grows i was using Biobizz and Advanced nutrients, biobizz always was giving me some headaches in flower stages AN nutes were ok but it felt they are weak ? i needed to use quite a lot as NPK combo is on low end.

So i decided to give it a go GreenBuzzNutrients i just saw someone posting how good they were etc so i said why not. On top of that we have Silicon from Shogun, Carboload from AN, Biosys ecothrive, Organic seaweed, Great White PREMIUM MYCORRHIZAE. Ecothrive and Great White was recommended to by some fellow grower who said this was his best investment ever in regards of how well plants do with additionals.

The magic will be happening in AC Infinity Cloudlab 844 Tent with Cloudline S6 AC under the SpiderFarmer SF5000, we will be using Biobizz ALLMIX soil ( apparently HOT ) 20L Airpots 2x AC Infinity S6 cloudray fans and 2x some no name fans. To help me keep everything under control we will be supported by BlueLab PH pen and Apera EC60 ppm/EC meter

So last night i dropped seeds in the water, what i still need to do is soil up pots and water them to get some runoff and check PPM for how HOT is that Biobizz soil, but like i said i grew in that before and seedlings were fine though i didnt feed nothing till 3rd wk.

You're lucky to have someone like V8 looking over your shoulder. There is a Mentoring Forum which I believe carries a cool Student Award. Best of luck with your grow this time.

I'm very happy to see this thread up, and congrats to V8 who has now become an official THCtalk mentor, I know he will do a fantastic job in this position

I've shifted this thread over to our Mentored Grow section, and added the 'Mentored by V8' to the title. I also awarded V8 his Mentor badge and maxkolonko123 his Student badge which will be replaced with the Student Completed badge once this diary is complete.

Good luck and have fun guys!

Thank you all for such warm words. I feel really chuffed to be mentored by V8 I'm sure it's gonna be a valuable lesson for me and sound teamwork.

I hope plenty of fellow members will pop in and add some tips and tricks for us so we can learn from each other.

Pots soiled up and had a decent watering ppm cameback as stated on package which was 1300-1400ppm / 2.2EC. Now just finger crossed that 4 seeds gonna sprout Click image for larger version.

    Ah here we go!

Sorry for my time absent. I have been blessed with the flue for my entire family. Even the dog is sick.....

Start lookes good. Lets hope the seeds crack!

If there is no sign of life from the seeds in 1 day you can use a very very fine sandpaper and rub where the crack usually opens and let it back into water and see. I have had succsess with that in the past ( no guarantee)

When you plant the seed make sure to have the tap root down and make the soil as fluffy as you can. Use a little stick and sturr the soil so its more airy. When planting the seed make a tiny hole about 1-2cm deep and put the seed into it. Then cover it with just a little soil.

When the seeds are planted the RH needs to be on point 65+++. Having a humidifyer in the tent can solv this but you risk of damaging your carbon filter as most filters cant handle more then 70%rh. I would cover the seeds with a dome or a plastic cup so the RH is trapped inside.

When the seeds are planted the next step is very very easy. Dont touch anything Let the seeds do their thing. 1-2 times a day you can lift the cup and spray a little water into it to increase RH.

If your floor is cold i suggest raising your pots up so the soil is warmer. You can test this by lifting away your pots and feel the floor or your stand and if its cold you need to raise it more.

    Temp should be ish 23-30

Are we growing under 18/6 20/4 or 24/7? Im down for whatever but if its easyer to maintain a stable enviroment at 24/7 i would suggerst that.

I havnt used the SE5000 for seedings / early veg but at 40cm from canopy 30% power seems to be desent. If you have a ish modern phone download Photone and adjust the light so its at ish 150-200 par.

1 thing you can do is messure your water and find out the EC of it and see how much you need to add of your organic calmag to hit 0.3EC.

Lets grow some weed!!!! Whoop whooooopp
