    Default advice on drying please

Hello i have two plants in week 6 of flower so wont be long before harvest and want to get prepared for the drying and curing process. What is the best simplest way to dry the plants? I cant let them naturally dry in a room as the smell would annoy various people so do i get a small tent and use an extractor?? i have a dehumidifier do i add that in?? the tent i am currently using has some seedlings in preparing for another grow so obvs cant use that i am happy to buy another tent and take the extractor off my tent and use that

any help would be greatly appreciated many thanks

well hopefully you do use and own a carbon filter to scrub the smell,
so many people get caught out because other nosy people can smell your plants

you could hang your buds inside a large cardboard box inside your vented gRoom vs buying another tent/filter etc

A new small tent it is then.

I have a 3x3 and when i dry i had my 4inc exhaustfan with carbonfilter @ 2/10. Together with a small fan on the floor on the lowest setting. No direct airflow on the plants.

    Temp around 17-22
Aim for a little over 60RH.

If the plant is smaller with smaller buds you might want to leave the fan leaves on for drying. While if your plant has fat buds on it you might want to remove the leaves or the time to dry will takes agaes

Anything from a 5 day to 20days dry is good. The slower the better.

you have to open/burp the jars to get the humidity inside the containers to level off after air drying for 3-10 days 'dependng on %rH'
some people dry there buds in brown paper bags or boxes, but a smaller tent would work great

i hang mine inside my flowering tent since i have a smaller tent for seeding and early veg,

I use Grove bags for curing and a few other people on here have used them to great success too.

Mason jars are tried and tested but they do need a little more maintenance with daily/weekly burping.

With Grove bags I dry to about 12-13% then I pop them in the bag and jobs done. I do also put a Boveda 8g 82% sachet in the 1 Oz bags as well because I'm paranoid but Grove swear you don't need to do that. Grove claim people have kept bud in absolute tip top condition in Grove bags for 3 or 4 years without any problems.

You dry to 12-13% RH bud? That's not an overkill and curing process is killed
