Talking Any Mechanic out there? Have A problem that has stump me.

I have A 1994 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4cy XL Truck. The other day while going to the store, she broke A timing belt.

Well, I got her pull back to the house and change the Belt. Problem is now she want crank. She want even fire on any cylinders.

I have changed all the spark plugs, Plug wires, Electrical Mordali. I have checked all the fuss's and change out the two coils as well. Only electrical part I haven't change is the computer.

Here is A picture of one of the Coil's. Just wondering if anyone knows what might have made this happen, and why I'm not getting any spark from the new coils or spark plugs.
Thanks in advance. Fuel pump is turning on and can smell gas when turning over engine, just not firing.

So to clarify, the engine will turn over and you don't get any spark? Do you have a manual to tell you how to get your timing correct? Usually you'll need to move your crank shaft end to Top Dead Center and your cam end will also have to be turned until it is positioned correctly, BEFORE you install the belt. You will have timing marks on the crank pulley, not sure about the cam being marked. Maybe search for a Youtube vid or find a good tech manual.

Make sure you have the timing marks on the crank and camshaft aligned correctly, also check the wires going to the pulse generator/crank sensor you showed in this pic...

The non sparking could have been the reason the belt snapped in the first place...If the engine abruptly stopped while running at moderate rpm's it can snap a tired worn belt..If this the case your going to need to do some electrical diagnostics to find the fault on the ignition side of things..

Yes, BL and Jingo, the new belt is line up with the timing marks. If I have to check some of the wiring I want be able to do that. I am only A Parts Changer and no nothing else about what makes things work. I guess i will have to take it to A real Mechanic to do any wire testing. I have tested the spark plugs and at the coil, and no spark coming from any of those. Thanks.

Your going to need a multimeter and some electrical knowledge to diagnose it properly George unless you can see something that has become disconnected or physical broke...

I've got A multmeter, but only use it for Battery and Alternator. I don't know how to use for anything else. I thought that fusses would blow and made for this type of problem. But in this case, I guess not. I don't have A clue about the wiring system, so to the Mec it goes.

It's that gray looking thing right above the crank in the Top picture. And No I didn't replace it.

Yeah I know but I don't see it here...Did you remove it when you stripped it down ?
