Default Will one 800w LED light be better or two 400/450w lights?

    Hi!

I'm looking to upgrade my grow and I'm curious to know if one 800w LED light would be better then two 450w LED lights? Any opinions welcome

I think anytime you use two to equal one, it is A little better. JMO

So the space is a 8x8 and i have a ts 3000 already in there, so it would be better to have another 2 ts 3000. Wouldn't the 800w create better quality just concentrated on less space basically decreasing yield a bit for better quality with more trichome production essentially? I'm fairly new to growing, on my 5th grow now so any advice would be appreciated greatly

The 800w in question is the mars hydro fc 8000. I love the bar type light and it looks like that light can produce some insane buds. I'm currently growing a mimosa x orange punch that i cloned before flip luckily as it is a wonderful looking strain

    Sexy bud shots there, GhostTheTerrible.

That's a huge grow room. Some folks get antsy when they hear that. Just mind the rules here. We're 10 plant max without negotiation.

That said, That FC8000 is a beast! I've a smaller version in my 4x4.

With multiple lights, you can cater to multiple heights and different phenos. Sounds like you're into photoperiods but with autos having multiple lights seems ideal; being able to dial in light for different stages and whatnot. MrC does it that way and quite well.

Hate to say "it depends" but the real answer relies on more clarity on what you're trying to accomplish.

If it's 4 plants in a square, get the big'n.

    Cheers

Thank you barney_b. They smelling just as amazing

Thanks for giving me the heads up. That is in my 4x4 tent, there is a total of 6 plants in that tent. I'm looking to upgrade to handle 8 big plants. Want quality over quantity for sure so maybe the fc 8000 isn't too bad considering what I'm looking for. thank you for your advice
