Default Answered: Dilemma, rot at week 7

Right guys I need some ideas. I’m at week 7 tomorrow, going in to week 8 (Day 49) of flower and I’m starting to find some mouldy buds

My temps and humidity are bang on, and I’ve even got a humidifier in the tent to keep this in check but I’ve noticed today and yesterday the tops of about 5/6 have got mould in them. There’s plenty of airflow also with a 10” extraction running more or less full ping so I can’t understand how this has happened.

Any ideas to keep this rot away? Il start the flush and bring them down in a weeks time, not ideal but I’m at risk to losing the lot here

  2. "id cut the molded buds off now, and finish the rest of the plant(s)
its a fungus and those spores can and will spread at lights off if they get the chance
a rH% of no higher than <45% during late flower is highly recommend

shaded buds can also get mold, shaded from light or breeze

i know it's not gonna apply to you but a 600w finishing bulb is UV output, UV Light helps kill mold spores so it won't spread,
also be sure to sterilize the walls and floors/pots in your grow room so you don't get the same problem on your next grow"

Was your humidifier clean when you put it in the tent? They can spread mold spores like crazy

Is the res of the de-huey clean? Ours get moldy in the basement

Just trying to see where it came in from. But yeah if you have food grade peroxide you can dilute it and spray to try and reduce it spreading
