    Default New Start! Zskittles! Photos

Hey all, After having a fair few issues with my autos, I'm started again this time with zskittles photos! Wish me luck
Quick questions..once they have popped above soil are they okay under a 400w HPS at a fair distance away? Took me hours to get the light, ducting etc etc perfect for the temps and humidity so don't fancy taking it down lol

And just to clear a few things up, how long are they classed as 'seedlings' for ?

Thanks all Click image for larger version.

Also when the light cycles is 18/6, what type of temps and humidity should it be in darkness ?

While in Veg, I find that 70rh or lower is fine, doesn't need lower until Flowering. But here in Florida, I pretty much have to grow in 60 to 70RH both veg and flower. My plants seem to do well most of the time as long as I have my soil right.

Hey! Smart move swapping to a photo. Now you can veg her out and if you hit any problems along the way you can just veg it out

If there is 2 much of a swing during night/day temps/RH you can veg an photo under 24/7. I do that because of those 2 reasons. And when she is rdy to flower you swap to 12/12

The diffrent stages of a plant will be diffrent depending on the grower you ask . For me seedling stage end after day 10 ish. When she is ready to push out her 2nd node

I have a pretty wide range with temps in my veg tent. All the way from 22c to 29c. This is because my 400w powersupply to my flower tent kickes on and off. And since im running a dehumidifyer in the same room to have the RH low when it enters the flower tent. In the little vegging tent its usually ish 50RH.

You may find your seedlings will stretch under a 400w HID because the light will have to be so far away so they don’t fry. If you have a metal halide tube, that will help reduce the stretch. But personally I wouldn’t put newly sprouted seedlings under a 400w I think they would struggle with the intensity. If I didn’t have a less powerful light I’d stick them on a warm windowsill in natural light for a least a few days before going under the MH / HPS.

If it fries the seedlings look into getting a low power led to start them under or some T5s or something. I've not got a great deal of experience with HPS
