I know seeds are soaked in the dark.

I know once you plant the seed with a decent tap root that the lights come on.

What I don't know is about what day do you introduce the new seedling to its normal light cycle?

The picture below is from today of a 6-day-old seedling.

I set the light to go off at 10 tonight and I am running it for 6 hours for a break.

Maybe I should just go 4 hours. When this plant makes it to the big tent it will run at 20/4.

Although I am no where near 3 nodes.

My issue (in the past) has mostly been overwatering seedlings.

Last grow, I found a new way to snuff out a seedling. Using too much light (not DLI) I turned young leaves into parchment paper.

That last experience gave birth to this opening question.

By the way, it wasn't from being to close, or burning them with actual heat. I really believe it was just too long exposed to lights before giving them a break.

I only water seedlings about a shotglass a day.

my girls only stay on 24/0 for the first 7-10 days after that it's 18/6 for 3-8 weeks depending on the pheno then 12/12 ''photo period plants''
i use small pots for young plants, gives a nice rootball at each stage of potting up
