    Default Night temps

Hi all, as you know here in the UK the temps are dropping below 0 on a night, I checked my temps when the lights are off for 6hours and they drop to 14/16 degrees, is this too cold? Will this shock the plant for the short period the light is off or ?

    Thanks in advanced

I've had it as cold as 15c, didn't seem too bad but around 13-14c is supposed to be the point it starts affecting your plant. Maybe try shrinking your intake during night hours

Being an outdoor grower, plants can survive 6 degree temps at night. But yield is closely related to stability of temperatures, with as small a variation between night and day temps as possible. The smaller the variation gives better smells, yields and shorter turn around times. get your humidity and temps correct and you'll grow like a pro.

will be more important during 12/12 when you really don't want them to stop growing/swelling up due to cool temps,
if it's an option run the lights on during the night

its only gonna get colder here in the uk,

If I'm not flowering the lights stay on 24hrs for the stable environment, in flower i consider 15-16c to the minimum but I try to avoid that low, a stable environment is the key to successful crops imo so i suck up the costs.

However, with the price of electricity now I'm planning on winding down for the winter and planning a couple of bumper crops for the warmer months.

I'm not recommending it but... When I started growing in a UK attic I didn't bother with a heater or dehumidifier, a grow kit consisted of a light and a fan lol.
I probably didn't have the best crops but the plants looked fine to a inexperienced growe, i was never disappointed and i never seen rot.

Now I would grow without all the necessary but that's another story i know you can grow with basics and be happy.
