Default Answered: Tent zip fix needed

Merry Christmas everyone, of all times for this to happen lol it’s happened.

I have a Budbox pro 1.2 x 2.4 in white, and I’ve only had it 5 months. Since buying I’ve had nothing but issues with my main front top to bottom zip. And now I have this issue

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue? It’s got to the point where I can’t even open the tent properly because I can’t get passed this point. Considering this was to the closer side of £300 it’s not ideal

It looks very tight, maybe try and pull at the tent in places,to give you more “give”
You have to have the frame square or the zips will give you problems if the cover isn’t sitting square."

I have done mate thanks, I just need a fix for now. It’s a nightmare, they’re just starting to take off and look bang on but I can’t even open/close the door properly anymore

How often do you go in there? Maybe 3 zip ties poked through each side, top, middle and bottom then hang a sheet over the front? At least it keeps the door closed and the sheet will suck over the gaps between ties . Best I can think of

Have you looked at YouTube? There are loads of how to’s on broken zips. I’ve used them in the past on camping tents.

I always spray mind with some silicone and have no trouble with them.

I had a old holy tent that had a bunch of light leaks, I just draped an extra set of blackout curtains over my tent, hell my uncle still uses the exact same tent and curtain set up.

I split my laundry room with blackout curtains and keep the tent in the partitioned off area, the tent does mostly what it's meant to do but I always find some light leaks when I check inside.

Try using a pair of pliers to get a proper hold of the zipper, cover it with cardboard or a piece of heavy material before gripping it with the pliers so you don't mark the piece.
