So I'm wanting to just chuck it all out in one go, so as an example 6 x 8ltr per pot = 48 ltr. So would this little pump be what I'm after? On the website Growell, search Sicce Hydroponic Pumps and it's Micra 100. Says it pumps 100-400 ltr an hour and I'll only need 40-48 ish a day

Says it works for flood and drain

You're going to want a larger resevoir than I'm using with 6... Maybe one of those brute trashcans if you have the space. For pumps, I only checked how high it could lift the water tbh. Smaller pump, longer water cycle, assuming the height is no issue. The decision was made when I saw the connectors this one came with iirc. No brand loyalty. Jingo probably knows more about pumps than I. My system was trial and error.

I put all 8 lines into 4 separate containers to test the flow initially and to make sure they were feeding the same on every line. But since the plants aren't going to uptake at the same rate, one plant is going to run off before the others. So, instead, you have to feed until the thirstiest plants get good runoff.

So then, take the Liters per minute from the live testing (not the pump's rating) and divide that by 5 for 20% runoff.. Then throw those numbers away mate. Just make sure the big girl is running off decently.

As an example, when I first transplant, I'm watering for about 45 seconds. Towards heavy stretch/early flower, it's closer to 1:30. I've been doing 2 per day but that seems to require dropping your EC a bit else they start to tip burn.

Setting the timer is easy enough and the pump has plenty of power for a .8m lift. (Lift pump is what I've always called them btw)

    Clear as mud?

edit to say there is also a circulation pump, a tiny one, in the res. It's always on.
Yeh that's pretty clear, nice one. I'll be sure to test it out and keep my eye on the first few runs and check the runoff amount. I thought it was gonna require a controller and all sorts of other gubbins

Does this one look like it'd do the trick? Amazon pick, good lift, submersible and 3 different size valves

On amazon Welltop Water Feature Pump, 2500L/H 550GPH Submersible Water Pump

You can adjust the flow which I like. I think this fits the bill.

Brilliant, love dropping on somethin straight away What size tube do you use from the manifold to water the plants?
The 3 adapters from the pump are 17mm 15mm and 10mm apparently. So do I look for a manifold that has the same size as 1 of these 3 adapters?

I'm using 3/4 inch PVC pipe exclusively now. Before I used 3/4 inch flexible tubing that attached via nipple to PVC as you have to plumb that particular manifold with it.

So this manifold, I think you said yours is floraflex, is it basically just a piece to distribute the water off in 6 (or how ever many you're growin) different directions? Not really sure what I'm lookin at on UK sites

Could it be something this simple and cheap?
