    Do you guys know, does lst or topping affect the growth speed of the plants?

    So many variables man. i've seen topped plants finish faster than their untopped sisters and i've seen the exact opposite.

    topping plants and lst are all trying to do the same thing. get more bud sites that primo light. In our small setups, it's advantageous to do so if you are chasing bigger yields.

    You seem on the fence about this one. Heres' my advice:

    Autos, top em and spread em out with LST.
    Photos, top em and spread em out with LST or a scrog.

    Don't worry about the extra time. It's not enough to make it the basis of your training decision. And don't let anyone tell you these plants ain't tough as hell either.

    I've no hard fast rules it depends on a few variables as always.

    Going for yeild i only lst, i don't want to cut off a good branch so to speak I'd rather tie it down and harvest it.
    By luck I've a picture here of the harvested bottom, you can see it's been tied.

    I don't not top there's occasion i do but it's specific for selecting x amount branches on a tester, or if it's busy there's always variables that might make something suitable for me but not for others.

    Topping will set the plant back a little. LST nothing if done correctly

    Here's one with the tip shoot nipped out the when flowers were setting circa 3rd wk, my aim was encourage lower growth up + stem vertical growth.
