Did you get some soil M_C i’ve been looking at the plant magic and it’s nearly 20 quid on eBay man or biobizz light is 15 quid, really don’t know which one to go for but if I go for the plant magic I would have to buy perlite as well which is gonna raise it even more, I’m thinking after this one I might buy some of that ecothrive and reuse the soil or is that not worth the hassle
    Cheers
I smoke pretty much all of the time so if I waffle shit please forgive me lol

Ecothrive is a living soil, you would need to use large pots for it to work correctly, like 45l or something iirc.
I've heard of products like Recharge if you wanted to reuse the soil, but I haven't tried it.

I'm sure he mentioned it was for veggies...Gonna be uneconomical to use any of the so called canna specific compost for this purpose IMO..However, if money is no object then fill ya boots

I had good success last year using bags of topsoil ,horse manure and my own well rotted compost / leaf mould ,topdressing with chicken shit pellets mid season.
I keep looking at (Web address removed) vegetable compost ,got good reviews .

I know m8 a few people have said it, but I can just about get the autos to harvest in soil so with coco I don’t think I would have any chance lol and then the setup costs and my back is done in m8 so that would be a ballache watering everyday and as for the autofeeders that shit goes right over my head man lol, think I have a lot more researching to do on coco and auto pots lol
    Cheers

As promised, went to the building suppliers and had a butchers...This stuff looks really good...It's got a very nice granular structure, it appears to be clean and free from the usual bits of plastic and other crap from some suppliers. I can't see there being an issue with water retention or drying too quickly you can tell by its consistency looks really well balanced..Got that nice compost smell to it too and deffo passed the Lightyear sniff test with flying colours...Made by a company called Durstons. I paid £23.75 for 6 x 60 litre bags..
