    Default Scrog net & training

Hi folks, I'm after some advice about scrog....

First thing is, what do you think is the ideal size for the 'holes' in a scrog net and do you think rigid like mesh is best or is a net ok?

Also, do you finish all pruning prior before you put the net in?

    Thank you
    DT

In my 3.3x3.3 i make a costume net with lst wire and 16mm pcw pipe.

For me personaly 12x12 is tight enough in my tent.

I install the first net just before i flip my girls into flower. That way i can tuck them in and make a very nice even canopy while they are stretching. Just after stretch at week 3 flower i install net 3 as a support net.

I like 3 or 4" for the 1st net and 6" for the support/2nd net.

I've fixed my net at the corners but it's not ideal, there's at least a foot pushed/lifted with the plants.

With a frame around the net it doesn't budge as there's no slack available to be lifted, what I'm saying might not make sense but it'll become clear when you put the net up.

I veg, flip then put the net on a couple of weeks later.

I made mine with wooden dowels and string. My spacing is 3.5 inches, but I can slide the string in and out a little depending on necessity.

These ties work great with the dowels when you have a branch that needs more of an adjustment then you can get with your size of hole.

Thanks everyone, you're right Trichonedome, it doesn't all make sense yet but you've all given me enough to get down to b&q to see what materials I can get. Seems like most are using rigid frame at least, mesh about 3". Cheers.
