    Default The correct light

Hey guys, I’m looking at cloning one of my dominant plants. After Googling I’ve found that T5 bulbs are the best as they dont give off too much heat. I’ve searched eBay/Amazon & there is so much variety that I’m now lost. Can anyone please send me links of what I should buy or be looking for? Or what they currently use?

I have already purchased a propagator, heated seedling Matt, scalpel, cubes & rooting hormone. Am I missing anything?

Feel free to give me any advice on how you do your cloning? Thank you

A spray bottle for misting ur plants. What rooting hormone did you get ? A gel or a powder ? Light wise, what ur looking for is something similar to what you got in shops. The long tube florescent bulbs is what it means when it says T5. You can get them off the bay fairly cheap but if you are looking at growing for a minute then it would be worth buying ur self one for a veg tent or use it to start your seedlings as they are perfect for seedlings ,clones and the whole veg cycle if it’s big enough ( ie 2 foot tube’s but 4 tubes not 2. You can always turn 2 tubes off if they are not needed ) I use one in my veg tent. Also you don’t have to worry about light burn/stress like you do with LED’s Anyway I hope this helps a little. I hope things work out for you, green vibes going ur way

I use spiderfarmer SF1000 in my vegging tent. Its dimmable so you can have it on 50w. Perfect for clones. And you have more w to go when the clones get bigger.

    They also have a 33w and a 74w. SE300 and SE600

Clonex? It’s the gel looking stuff. I appreciate the help, I’ll just buy one of the units with 4 tubes connected. I’m guessing I still do the 18/6 cycle? Would I be ok yo do it in another spare room without a tent? Would the humidity be ok? And lastly can I have the light unit against the dome? Again thanks for the help

I like the look of that do you need to keep the unit a distance away from the dome? Can it be used with the dome in a normal room or would it need a tent? Thanks

Just the standard white led? I thought it had to be a multi spectrum? Do you get pretty much all the clones rooting? Thanks

Yes you need a little distance. Ish 20 inches would do.

You dont need a tent aslong as the clones are inside your dome. But after 2 weeks inside the dome its time to let them out and by that time your growroom need to have 65-70% RH and pref over 23c.

It is multispectral, just shows white light to human eye. It's is also great for doing one plant grows all the way through the end. whoop whoop That being said, what BL says is great if you just looking for Clone growing only.
