Every time I check this thread, I feel rather ashamed and if you could see the sorry state of my garden you'd know why.

You are forgetting something, my friend..it’s still a GARDEN! A “sorry garden”, is simply a garden looking for forgiveness

Real talk, I’ve never gardened before, but as my hubby says, I’m very impulsive, and very impatient, so this journey has been AMAZING. And I have SO MUCH I want to do next spring! Just gotta, promise, plan and pull the trigger!
( or, like me, grow a bunch of plants, THEN decide to build a garden

)

Beautiful PI I remember someone saying on another thread that Tomatoes grow like vines and your photos show that well.
Your weed plants are looking great too and that fencing/netting should protect them from any curious animals.
Let's just hope your neighbours don't get curious too lol.

Having good luck with the neighbors so far. I live in a pretty sleepy neighborhood. Half retirement and half younger families.. fortunately, I live on the former side. I've actually had the sheriff's office has come by my house twice in the past 2 months, but it was just for jury duty Service. He didn't even glance over

I think I'm being protected by a "higher" power..

I found a random seed and stuck it in a barrel for laughs. I had a jack in the beanstalk moment when it started sprouting, because I didn't know how big it would go, but then look! I cannot WAIT until next season!!!

Looking good PI. I'd go with your intuition and just let the tomatoes go. The kush n fritters are doing well, they should be smelling lovely these days. Enjoy the rest of your harvests and don't forget to compost everything after.

That's sweet! And yes, as you've found out, beans are easy. You just need to keep up with them. Sometimes that means picking them daily for a week or so.
