    Hi Folks,

Very quick question, looking to purchase 10 seeds for my next couple of grows, but have had issues with non sprouting seeds previously.

Can anyone highly recommend a seed supplier with a high rate of success, preferably something available to purchase in the UK?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hey Sam, all good mate?
Anything from Humboldt seeds or sweet seeds will probably do you right.

Hey MrG, all good here fella, yeah might go for a humboldt strain, I have done a few of theirs in the past, Amherst sour diesel, Green Crack, and think I done an OG kush by them

I hate seed shopping lol, I get too easily distracted like a kid in a sweet shop!

I havent tried it but ive heard about germinating seeds with peroxide when i was googling stuff related to my garden. If you still have a few of the duds it probably wouldnt hurt to give it a try

What bank have you been using? Attitude seems like they have a lot of solid breeders available, would imagine they do a lot of business because they have a decent amount of US west coast genetics that may be hard to source in the uk

Not much help but these days i tend to order direct from breeder and i havent had a dud in quite some time. Agree with Humboldt as MrG suggested, have never heard a bad thing about them. EVER. Surfr seeds had a ridiculous labor day sale recently, might still be going on. Iirc it was 4 packs for the price of one. I was going to order from them but i just ordered the chocolate thai. They do a lot of crosses with their point break/trophy wife/redneck wedding etc. a couple with the donny burger , gary payton, and gmo looked awesome. Not sure if they ship to the uk tho

Ask me next year & I'd recommend M_C's FBC

However, they still need a lot of work to stabilise the traits I'm after

My overall success "rates" improved after applying some Assam tea to the water I use to soak the seeds, supposedly the tannin levels somehow help with the germination process. Just exactly how I have no idea.

Upping my germination temps helped immensely, back when I was having rubbish rates, and was still using the blurple lamp. Just having the tub on the heat dissipation vent of the blurple practically gave me 100% germ rate!

Generally Seedsman's own branded seeds have been pretty reliable in terms of germ rates in my experience, unlike the Mephistos.

Not sure what else to add. Fresh seeds of course helps. Probably storing them properly helps too... me not trying to hide my seed stash as I type LOL. This heatwave has probably finished them off.... And darn annoying that fewer and fewer seed companies are stocking photo regs. But that's another story.

Sweet seeds are usually pretty good for me, fastbuds rarely fail me. Photos, Barneys Liberty haze has always popped for me

I'm just about to order 5 Northern Lights photo from Silver Leaf.
I have a 100% success rate germinating these seeds.
I pre-soak them for a day then straight into Jiffy 7 coco pellets and they all pop within a few days.
