Default Can i grow Broccoli in this space ?

I have built veg cabinet, with some homemade leds(just under 50w)
veg room is 60cm wide, 40cm deep and i can grow the plants upto 50cm(including the pots)
Often start lots of different plants indoors and give them away in the spring, but i want to do a full grow with Broccoli, can I top the plant early like weed and tomatoes?
will i get 1 Broccoli and a 2 Lettuce in this space ?

lights on 10 hours a day.

TBH I love grow growing plants, any plants more than smoking weed.

Why not do both?, broccoli and lettuce require a low amount of light and and only require 8 hours of light a day.

They will require different feeds, especially if you want to grow tomatoes as well. As a rule of thumb, lettuce and broccoli do not require a huge amount of light, that's why broccoli is a great plant to grow in the colder months in the UK outside, same with lettuce, but lettuce is more temp sensitive, as in if its too cold, they wont grow well. But you could get away with growing both under about 100w indoors, depending on the size of the area your growing in.

But flowering plants like tomatoes, will require a different feed in flower, and also a higher wattage of light, to make it worth while.

I mix up the dry fertilizer for weed, different mix for different stages and different plants, had good luck with a Cucumber plant(10,000 lux) it grow like mad, took over the cabinet, chucked it in the garden(end of June) at 3ft and it ended up 10ft long, pull loads of Cucumber.
2 years ago I started some seeds off, ended up with 20 plants (toms) under 10,000 lux, in 1ltr pots, at 6" i gave 15 away and chucked 5 in the garden begin of July, they grew massive.
I have dropped 3 seeds(broccoli) in a pot and covered with a plastic bag, never tried broccoli indoors before, but I like a challenge, the light level is low, so it should work.

The picture with the meter reading 12,600 lux is 27" below the reflectors and the picture with the meter reading 24,800 lux is 12" below the reflectors
soil mix is 80% cutting and seedling mix(high amount of peat moss) and 20% worm casting, pots have very good drainage(pots about 1ltr).
soaked the pot of soil and then added the seeds, covered the seeds with 1/4" of wet soil.

I am really lucky, having a good size DIY shop local that cuts boards of timber, I use qCAD, there a free version, design the cabinet and work out a cutting list, take to the store, give them the sheet, they cut it all to size, drive home, screw it together and it cost me £30 and i reused some old hinges and a few screws, a friend had an old roll of black and white as you can see, used some deep proof membrane left over from my shed build, a while ago I brought 150 bulb holders for £100 local, bulbs cost £19 for 12 bulbs, so the total cost from lights, cabinet etc could be £55
its also a great back up if there any problems in my shed(and i need to restart) and i need to start some cannabis seeds off in the house

Been thinking about starting more seeds, could grow another 20 plants, been doing some research and this is a good time to start them off indoors, as they out grow the cabinet, in about 4 weeks time I can finish them off in the garden, broccoli does not mind the odd frost.

Things are still going well, the lettuce will be done in about a week, well i can start cutting some leaves off, keep it going for a month until it bolts
broccoli plants need to go in the garden in 7 to 14 days, they will need potting up soon.

I was just looking at the Marvelous Spider Farmer Smart G12 Hydroponics Growing System, the plants would grow faster, could have a constant supply of fresh herbs in the kitchen, looks great.
