Default Unanswered: Filling pots with big drainage holes?

Just got some new square 11litre pots but the drainage holes look massive compared to what I usually use .
Will I be ok just chucking my coco in as normal ? Or chuck an inch of perlite in the bottom of pot first ?

I used the fiberglass rooting matt/sheet used on nft water base grows trays but I've also used a piece of kitchen roll in past when I'm out of nft root matting. Coco tends to hold itself in once its been wet properly down bottom of pots, perlite will wash away.

coco would be fine with them holes. you may risk blockages further down the line using paper towel but I've never used that method so cant say for sure. In soil I tend to use c a layer of clay balls or gravel.
    Cheers Dru!!!
