Complete novice, need guidance!

Hello everyone! I really need some help!

Bit of background, I have grown before but we're going back 15 years ago, and I've basically forgot everything and I'm pretty sure their's new better more efficient ways to grow

My situation is this, I have the opportunity to do 1 grow at my space, Im not looking to do anything massive but I want to grow enough to get about a years worth of smoke out of it so I can stop getting ripped off!

I would want to do Hydro, I did that before years ago and managed to get a good yield that lasted me over 12 months

I really need some advice where to start again!

Is there someone here who can recommend me what Light to get, what hydro pots to get, silent carbon filter also?

Money for equipment isn't as issue, even if yield isn't amazing it'd save me time and energy sourcing smoke for myself.

I would like a very decent LED light (Im told LED is all the rage now?)

I obviously dont wanna do loads of plants, maybe just 4 total?

again sorry to bombard with words but I feel like im back at square one, haven't grown forever, and when I did grow years back it was just a small one pot hydro grow and ive forgot all the basics!

so if there are any geniuses here who can explain to me where to start, what to get, and explain it to me like im 5 years old that would be amazing!

WOW dude, you right about one thing, there is so many LED's from Fair to expensive. If you looking for the very best, I would check out California Lights Works, some of the best made today, or close to it. Now with that out of the way. You can buy very good LED's with Very little money today, from 200.00 dollars and up. For instent I have A 300Wat SpiderFarmer which is when they brought in the B Samson Lights. These light's are bottom dollar, and we have A sponsor you can PM and they will take you through anything you want to talk about. I have got 4 clones and two seedlings going on now. 3 weeks Planted to clones and same time on the seedlings. I'm growing in A 4x4x6.5' tent, but you can do what you want in A 3x3x6' If you perfure.

I am think of going ahead and flip these tomorrow, but might wait another week. woo woo

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I'm in the UK and have been looking at a website called growl I found a light on there but I really don't know if it's over kill or not? I have linked the light here

are there any specific benefits from growing with LED compared to HPS lights? If I remember correctly I used 1x 600 HPS light in my old grow and the yield was fine but I smoke a lot more now

Also, when it comes to Hydro Systems I would like something simple to maintain so I have linked a product below ive been looking at that looks great but I have no idea if its easy to use or if its any good

I feel like a fish out of water, but my plan would be to have 4 plants in a system like that, would that light I shown be capable for such a set up?

What ventilation would I need say in a 1.8x1.8m tent space?

I've only heard good things about those lights. If that is A 5'x5' tent I don't think it would be over kill. If I am not wrong 1.2m is A 4'x4', so 1.8x1.8 must be much larger. Yes I am located in the USA, so still on the other measurement. It confuses me sometimes. lol Thanks for the comment on the plants.

LED lights i would say you wanna look for the ones that are using Samsung lighting chips and the 3 best light chips of theirs are said to be the Samsung LM301B, LM301H or LM301H EVO with said latter one being best of those 3 and Samsungs latest. But any LED running those light chips should be rocking good and grow you some nice weed. Look at umol rating too and anything from 2.7umol to 3.2 umol rating for light is right up their with best around.

Look those lights up on Ebay, they run 850.00 to 900.00 Bucks for used ones. I would check out the SpiderFarmers and pay much less. JMP

I don't grow hydroponically these days but when I did I had good success with the "Wilma 4" system which are pretty cheap and easy to use so you might want to check them out.

thanks for this im definitely going to look into that!

I'm just a bit lost on what to do, on one hand im thinking just go with soil, but on the other hand I feel like I have to go for hydro to get the best yield possible. I can only really do 1 grow and would like to make sure im set for a while before I need to do another one, its not something I want or am able to constantly do as I just dont have the time or the space.

So I'll definitely check out the Wilma system and see how that looks.

Hi George would you think I would be better off buying two of these

"2024 Newest Version Spider Farmer® SF4000 450W Samsung lm301H EVO LED Grow Light"

and having both of these in the tent at the same time for maximum light?

Seems like id probably achieve the same result whilst saving about £600

if you have any advice id love to hear it thank you
