I would seriously be thinking of 6 plants in the RDWC, I think you will really struggle for space with 8 plants, if they end up the same size as mine in the Alien.
No mate I'm doing just six

Ahh cool, you may just get six in there, even that I think will be very tight, personally in that space I would just do 4 and you will still pretty much fill that space!.

All trial and error ill do tent one then see how it goes. But the pipes on the Alien 20l system you can only cut them at a maximum of 33cm and I only got 4 1m lengths with mine

If you get stuck fella just message Alien on there website, they are pretty good, they sent me some of those sucker pads that keep the halo air things in the bottom of the pot, which dont come with the 20l system. Although 4 x 1m should be enough for 6 pots, would be a struggle with 8.

Like I said on my diary in a 1.2m x 1.2m tent, I wouldn't be able to fit the 4 pots system, with the mixer bucket in side the tent, maybe with the mixer bucket outside the tent.

But tbh I wouldn't be able to manage 4 plants in this tent, even with two I'm only left with about 8 inches between the plants and the front of the tent.

The Alien system does grow some monster, I can vouch for that!

Cheers I'm excited for this setup with looking at yours but wish I'd of saved a bit more to get the 36l system but at over 1k nope. A mate built his own 4 tub system rdwc a think the was 40l tubs and he grew some monsters think I pulled 70 oz all together so it inspired me to give hydro a go again. I may do a Diary just to log it.

Well looking at the systems the only difference between the 20 litre system and the 36 litre system is the size of the main growing pots. And on there website, you can buy the 36l pots for £22 each, so my next upgrade maybe just to change out my two buckets for 36 litre ones

    Well that is the plan

How did you start yours sam before putting them in? And when first putting them in did you fill it to the max line even tho the plants was small because they wouldn't be drinking much at a young age.

I started them in Rockwall plugin's, then transferred them to a 6" Rockwall cubes, in my small tent, and just hand fed them for about the first month, then transferred them into the RDWC, when they were well rooted.

I was thinking same but unsure. Did you use a dome because I bought the ac one but I'm going to try cover the tops of the rockwool so no alge grows on it.

I have a small propagator that comes with a clear lid and is heated, so I usually use that at the seedling stage.
