    Great Post.

I'm thinking my plants may have the nitrogen deficiency...anybody got any thoughts?

A quick run-down on the plants before I start...

    4 x plants (unknown strains)
    Polytunnel grow
B and Q Peat -based growing medium
    3 x 15L pots , 1 x 30L pot
Plants vary in size from Rooney(stocky, bushy and stinky, about 5 ft tall) to Crouchy(7.5feet tall ,slim and not very impressive)
All 4 plants were "topped" 4 weeks ago
3 plants have been quite severely "trained" over the last 3 weeks and now grow at lower than 45 degrees, this is having the desired effect with a lot of growth surging from the the trained stems towards the sun.
Nutes; Plant Magic Old Timer Organic N5%,P3%,K3%. Fed every 14 days at 7ml per 3 litres.Recommended dose is up to 5ml per litre.
All plants are around 4 months old from seed.

Anyway...here's the problem. It started around a week ago. The lowest leaves (fan leaves only) started yellowing from the tips inwards until the whole leaf becomes pale yellow, progress has been quite rapid and now the yellowed leaves are moving further up the stem particularly on Crouchy my tallest plant, also Crouchy's other leaves are starting to look a lot paler even towards the top of the plant. Rooney , my strongest plant is the least effected but there are signs that even Rooney is developing a couple of yellow leaves low-down.
I gave an unscheduled extra feed a couple of days ago but it's too early to see if there has been an improvement.

I get the feeling that I am not feeding often enough, any thoughts are very welcome
    Sorry no pics

Lightbulb I had the same problem

This happened to me. I read that a light period of 20/4 produces the strongest stems so I tried it. Well, my plants looked the same as yours...bleached on top. The symptom means that the affected leaves are not producing chlorophyll. Once I gave up on 20/4 and switched to 18/6 my problem went away; just too much light exposure for one day. I run a 400-watt MH air-cooled Super Sun 2. My plants were in veg week 2 (started from clone). My light was at 24" at the time this happened. You may just need to raise your light(s) if you are already on the safe clock cycle (18/6).

    (First post!)

    Thanks,
