Harvest time

It's coming to be harvest time for my 1st grow. 7 weeks now and checkin the trichs they're still clear. I'm thinking one more week. But my question is, chop the whole plant down and hang it to dry, or each branch? And when they're drying is it best for them to be in darkness or stay 12/12?

Horses for courses about the drying... Some people hang the whole plant up; downsides are looong dry times and bigger risk of mold. I'd trim, then hang. You want them in the dark.

Don't harvest too soon btw! A common mistake. All clear trichs could be several weeks away from 50/50 amber/cloudy yet.
