Would the fan not overheat ? Spray foam is an insulator and can keep cold air out but will keep all hot air from escaping . I would think that the fan would fry itself over time.

Ive never had a problem Burnz and more importantly my mate hasnt and i done 2 of his about a year and half ago now with expanding foam. but obviously im no rvk fan expert lol

i only put it on my passive ducting to stop bugs and shit getting sucked into the groom - and yeah wrapping the fan helps with noise but trust me this way is mucho better - at a guess it reduces noise by at least 65% so for anyone who needs it really fecking quiet can do the box with foam.
