check out my new soil mix:-

    used soil
    charred cannabis stems
    goat poo
    tea leaves
    bone meal
    bat poo
    volvcanic rock dust
yellow and pink/red dusted clay (from beach) hoping iron
    calcified seaweed
    epsom salts
pinch of potassium sulphate and wood ash
    worm casts
    dried crumbled sea weed

all soaking in molasses for 2 weeks now and that flamboyant list cost me nuffin! also it deals with the left over soil and stems from the last grow..
.. a tipple made it topple and
a nipple put a stop to all.

I like your recipe, good home brew with algae too.

    Here's my mix,

HOT MIX (30 day incubation)(mix into shallow rubermaid container with lid)
Miracle Grow Organic (potting)(base soil)(34cups)(8liter bag) cups 34
    Vermiculite/Perlite 50/50 cups 22
Silica sand medium grade not fine nor coarse cups 8
Worm Castings (whole and raw) cups 10
Local clay 50/50 brown/red (dry powder) grams 100
Local clay 50/50 brown/red (dry grains) grams 100
Dolomite lime (1 cup per cubic foot) cups 0.5
Padina algae blended shake cups 2
Sargassum algae blended shake cups 2
Espoma Plant Tone General Organic Fertilizer (5-3-3) grams 150
Fox Farm Happy Frog General Organic Fertilizer (5-5-5) grams 150
Miracle Grow Bone Meal Fertilizer (4-12-0) grams 150
Alaska fish emulsion (5-1-1) dilute for watering TBLSP 2
Molasses (mix with fish emulsion and dilute for watering TBLSP 2
LITE MIX (30 day incubation)(mix into shallow rubermaid container with lid)
MG organic potting (34 cups) cups 34
add 5 cups hot mix cups 5
    Silica sand cups 8
    Worm castings cups 10
    Pearlite/vermiculite 50/50 cups 22
Padina algae blended shake cups 1
Sargassum algae blended shake cups 1
FF Happy Frog (just a pinch) grams 50
Dolomite lime (1 cup per cubic foot) cups 0.5
Before the soil is done incubating I'll adjust BOTH MIXES as needed as follows:
Mix with motorized blended every few days
Monitor pH (soil leach test) weekly and adjust as needed to 6.5-7 pH
Add silica sand and perlite as needed for fluffiness
Add dried algae meal (locally obtained, home baked) as needed
Water BOTH MIXES to dampness using the FishEmulsion/Molasses mixture
Monitor the temperature, hot mix usually a few degrees warmer than cold mix
I keep the mixes at about 78 to 85 degrees F
    Fill pots as follows: top 3rd (100% LITE), middle 3rd (50/50% LITE/HOT), bottom 3rd (100% HOT)
May you do well at everything you aspire to do.

No man it's too much work. I could have kept it down to 10 ingredients if I was wise. But I'm a fool. It's good meditation though considering the mix and mixing the mix and adding shit to the mix. I did add some home made pine charcoal and some epsom salt recently. The stuff is pretty much ready to go in the next couple of weeks. It is nice to not have to worry about feeding them.

    yeh i was just being polite..... it could be simpler..... i just veg clones in plastic pint cups under fluros.. i put one speck of rock dust in the bottom of the pot and they can stay remarkably healthy for an incredible amount of time.... if i wanted i could fit way over a hundred babies under 170w of striplight, then throw em in a big bed of very hot soil n veg for another 2 or 3 weeks under the sodium. ive started to realize with soil how yield is very dependant on root mass and u cant get more mass than in beds... sayin all that my new mix as i worried would be is too alkali, some plants got a lil ph burn but really they are still loving the mix... gonna dig in a lil sulfur hopefully to counteract and continue to ph with lemon juice... all good tho.. plain phed water all the way gonna make smooth burning weed ç-;

becareful throwing alsorts into your soil, using own mixes are defo best i agree but the problem is when u start adding everything in at the start its already in there and if there is too much for a certain plant ur fucked coz u cant take it out, one of best tips is u can always add but cant take it out...

cheap multipurpose serves a fine job, 10 for 3 70 litre bags lol.
oh and her is a nice berrys plant that deserves its spot in here lol..

peace and all blues strains are awesome..
