Great advice here even tho I never really keep a mother since I adopted scrogging as my grow style. Flip day is the day i take my cuttings and providing you got a fairly bendy strain you can time it so they will be your nest plants.

Hmm, what about keeping the mother in an airpot? It should not become rootbound ever, would it?
What is the optimal volume of the pot for keeping mother?

It will still get root bound eventually, air pots just force the roots to make the most of the soil they are in before they do get root bound Zee

Loving this thread, brill info thanks. Can i ask - if its your area - im wondering if i can grow a mother outdoors (south UK) Then take cuttings during her veg growth to put into a groom to bring on quickly into bloom. Therefore at what stage do i take my cuttings ? would it be any faster?
