Having said that SL always have a lot of free-scoring talented batsmen so can't be ruled out..

To be honest I just see India destroying everyone, although maybe we could give em a game...

India to win, Sehwag for POTS.
Yeah India deserve to be favs no Q, but they can choke, and bowling wise I'm not so sure about them, look a bit one dimensional to me, and with all the pressure on them from there public, can they cope with that ? And in ODI's to me there is more chance of an upset than in 5 day cricket, Murali may not be as good as he was but he can still turn it on any wicket, and there batting unit is very strong, anyway I think it will be a great WC, totally looking forwards to it..

I don't think they're one dimensional at all - they have tons of aggressive bats who are awesome atm and also a couple who can "stick it out" - Dravid (if he plays - I wouldn't pick him), Laxman can play a controlled innings as can Tendulkar.
The others create havoc.... Also I don't really think the bowling attack is bad, they have left and right hand brisk seam/swing and a top spin attack. And playing at home.

I just think it'll be hard for all else - they're at home and supremely confident atm. I know what you mean about being chokers/bottlers though tbh I think thats the only chance us (or maybe SL or the saffers) have.
Forget the aussies pakistan and WI btw... all seem to have forgtotten how to play cricket although Powell may be entertaining to watch if he connects with anything.

Well as far as i know Laxman and Dravid won't play, and I honestly don't think hardly can spin(Harbahjan) and that little toe rag Sreesanth are as good as other attacks true they are well capable of posting 325+ batting wise, but pressure does funny things to teams, and they have a shitload of pressure on them, pundits the Indian public, it's from all angles.

Edit : The key for India will be Zaheer Khan, if he does well then yeh India will take the beating..

Anyway time will tell, but I would not put any cash on them as the odds are too skinny.

bowlers have always won games more than batters, so a good attack is essential, TBH I really should have mentioned the Saffers, as Steyn is just superb, his strike rate is insanely good, right up there with the likes of Malcom Marshall, it's wide open this WC, but i do agree that Pak, Aus and WI look out of it.

Snooker is a good call when high.

I just wish they would still get pissed and smoke while they play.

Much like Higgins used to do.

Always had a soft spot for Vaughny, talks a lot of sense (he's been commentating on TMS) during the ashes series.
    So two twenty/20 games and 7 ODI's coming up, time for the famous TDA predictions, 20/20 = E2 A0, ODI's = E5 A2.
Any thoughts blurry, I suppose my predictions will not get you very good odds at the bookies.

PS: I think Broad is expected to be fit for the WC, I'd say we definately need him to have a chance of winning.

I think the ODI's will be a bit closer, so for me 20/20 1-1 and ODI's 4/3 Eng..Oh good, I'm glad Broad will be fit for the WC, he's defo needed, lets hope he can get back to his best straight away..
