man i wish you had invented an app for that were i could just plug in my 2.4x1.2x2.0 space in with 1200w in cooled hoods, and it would tel me what i need lol, im going with 1 6" ruck inbetween the 2 hoods and a seperate 6" extraction with a filter on the end, and 5" intake i was looking at a fan controler that has a temp setting overide and controllers for speed on 2 fans, id just have the one inbetween the lights on full at all times and the intake and the out take hooked into the controller, what you think miss?

I tried, but there are just so many variables (duct length, number of bends) to consider that it became unwieldy. Even that was probably surmountable, but the real stumbling block is the filters; none of the manufacturers seem able to supply pressure:air-flow graphs, without which it's impossible to calculate properly.

Oh, and the size of the room makes no difference. That seemed kind of weird at first, but it does make sense.

To be honest, I don't know. As I said, there's just too much to consider (and quoting things like '6" fan' doesn't really help, it's all about air flow and pressure).

What I can tell you is how much air you actually need to move to achieve a given temperature rise (see the table at the end of the first post), but that's not the same as the fan rating. You'll likely need something bigger to overcome the system impedance. If the filter data were available, and I knew the exact lengths of duct, how many bends/corners there are (and their angles), and what the duct is made of I might be able to have a go though.

Thanks for that response miss, ur inteligence scares me at times lol i know the filter restricts airflow alot but if i never had that id need to have 4 fans instead of already one to many (3)

hey bro i think you will be fine with that set up its not much difference to my 1.2 is it? thats if you using air cooled shades are you ? my extraction is way to big at 8 inch and 6 inch in with a 1000mh with air hood and a 6 inch on it i use a single fan control on the air hood as well and a smscom controler for the tent great big of kit
and there's the veritable's but i think you will be fine

Yeah i plan to have 2 aircooled hoods with 6" fan inbetween pluged direct into plug point, then 1 6" extractor onto scrubber, with 5" intake, both of which will be on a controler, whats this scscom u speak of g man? Is it pricey?

you can find them for 70 quid ish and i wouldnt do a grow with out one now they spin up the fan slowly so theres no sudden fn on full blast and keep neg pressure you can even have two fans the same size which is great for geting the neg pressure just right a have a read up on them bro best bit of kit i own
http://www.hydrohobby.co.uk/product/...wincontroller/ it you shop around you can get em for 70ish or i might know some one that normally has one or two for sale if you want his number i use him for all second user gear he has tons of kit
