Very tempting. I've just been eyeing up the Wilma 4 x big-pot system.

However, rumour has it that using organic nutes in the systems will clog up the drip tubes. Is this right, G? And, if so, is it easy to clean the drip tubes?

I am the light of this forum and I am its mean twisted soul.

Great stuff mate, I'm still trying to find out if the top tray on the big4 is larger than the standard. As for the organic nutes I can't say from personal experience but I doubt the drippers would clog in the course of one grow and after that can be cleaned however it is fairly easy to remove the piping at clean at any stage of the grow.

Good question.. I've just emailed GHL to find out so when they get back to me I'll let you know.

Not sure what the 10-4 meant but good one emailing GHL, shall be interesting.

I've nearly finished my controller tub, just need to fit another inlet for draining and plumb it all in. I'll post a quick taster pic.

10-4 is like a standard radio message to indicate "got it".

GHL haven't come back to me yet (just sent another mail).. but I've been nosing around the web and I'm pretty sure that they are bigger (the big 4 also has its pots further spaced than the 4 pot system):

    4 pot = 670mm x 580mm x 460mm (top of pot height) Tank volume: 30 litres

    Big 4 = 790mm x 675mm x 550mm (top of pot height) Tank volume: 50 litres

If it's holding 4 18l pots as opposed to 4 11l pots, it must be larger to fit those in it, and to cover the larger res. All the pics I've found show the pots fitting snuggly into the top tray so logic dictates that it must be larger.

This is a great thread and really helpful in my research for my Aquaponics project.
I have learned about 3 times as much as I knew already in the last 10 mins.

    Thanks.
