help getting rid of bugs??

Hi ive got some really good soil which i bought around 4 months ago, ive brought it inside for an indoor grow and the soil has got a few little fly/midges in it.
How can.i get rid of them without ruining the ph ?

Me and my m8 ad the same problem with the bq soil. this might sound a little mad but it worked my m8 microwaved his but my misses wouldnt let me do it. he had no problems with his grow but i couldnt get rid of them just ad to fight them all the way through my grow

Some people i know have cooked it in the oven on full for a few hours to get rid of bugs n stuff,don't know if it messes with the soils ph though.

that sounds likea good idea but don't think i could do that!

Put an inch or 2 of sand on top of your soil when you pot up. The bugs can't get through the sand to lay their eggs nor can the larvae climb up out through the sand to turn into adults.
