EC stands for electrical conductivity and is usually measured using a device like this.

Basically it measures Salts/nutrients in the water. We adjust this by adding more nutrients or we dilute it with water... Yes?

make sure when buying compost to check how much nutrient is in the compost, try not to use soil containing slow release fertiliser.as this makes overfeeding to easy to do,imo a soilles mix or coco coir are better than soil.dont use garden soil for growing indoor or you will be fighting armies of bugs.

Dont over complicate things, its an extremely hardy plant and it will do it's best to do what it wants to do, produce flowers. You can help it obviously, but you can also definitely do damage by over thinking things and worrying too much. Let them do their own thing, with a little encouragement and they'll reward you.

I currently have a few cheese plants in BioBizz Lightmix soil but I am using Canna nutes. Will this affect the PH in the same way?

Read the rules, no asking for hook ups.

You can get seeds from Herbies, there's a link at the bottom of every page on this forum.
