Default Wiring up a TT100 extraction fan

Before you refer me to the RUCK fan installation method, I've read it and it doesn't appear to be the same for this fan.

I have a tt100 fan which got delivered couple of days ago,

Went to wire it up and there is just a connector block on it.

How the hell do I wire that up?

I know which goes to which so thats OK,

But what the frig do I do?

Do I get some 8guage cable and wire it up directly into the wires on the back of a plug socket or what?

Can I cut off some sort of ready made adaptor and wire the ends of that to the fan?

    I am stuck,

If you need photos, I'll get some uploaded when I finish work at 9pm.

Help please, as my seedlings are growing and growing

I've got a TT125 so I'll assume its the same. Its a two speed fan low and high.

You should have 3 terminals (scotchblocks) labeled N, L1, L2 or N, Ll, Lh

If your going to run it at just one speed then its easy.

Use 3 Amp 2 core mains cable (lamp wire is fine) - pass it through the rubber grommit and between the cable clamp. Fit a 13A plug with a 3A (red) fuse to the other and plug that into your timer.

    Blue goes to N
Brown goes to L1 or Ll for Low speed
Brown goes to L2 or Lh for High speed

Its double insulated so doesn't need an earth.

There should be a booklet with it explaining how to wire it up.

yeah there is a booklet, which explains which wire goes where, but its actually connecting that to a plug that Im stumped with.

Apologies WWM, I got in lastnight rolled a blunt and fell asleep lol!

So no photos today but will be tomorrow,

So I can basically, cut off the plug / wire off a lamp and use that to wire up the TT100?

If thats the case then I can do that tonight!

    Cheers

Yes mate thats it. The instructions from Mr B seem to cover the basic wire up and I would guess that all you need to be able to use both speeds would be to put a link wire acros the 2 live terminals. That is L1 to L2 or Ll to Lh,(check instuction book first and if in any doubt give a shout on here and I'll take a look.)

Thats what I did, except I cut mine from a knackered desk fan, mine had a nice moulded plug on so no wiring to do at the other end either.
