I love pike fishing, I used to go for Carp my PB carp is 32lb. After I caught that I turned to barbel I've had my fair share of double figures of that species. Now I go for pike, love em. Can't get better when they tail walk towards you on the bank lol!

Yep, I love a bit of fishing.

I started off in the canals, progressed onto pools/lakes, then weekend sessions down the Severn pulling out Barbel and Chub.

Nowadays I'm lucky to live close to the beach so I'm trying my hand at a bit of sea-fishing.

I took Mrs Grub on a night-session down the beach last November. It was bloody freezing and windy as hell so the nice bottle of Brandy we took with us went down a treat!
We must have had 4/5 joints and half a bottle of Brandy before Mrs Grubs rod was nearly ripped out of the tripod.... 30 minutes later and after lots of panicking and screaming (not just from Mrs Grub)... we finally get a glimpse of the monster thrashing about in the surf...
A 6ft long Conga!!

Another 15 minutes later on and we're still arguing about who's unhooking the pissing thing!!

I lost.

That was pretty much the 1st fish we'd caught from the sea and I hope to God I never have to 'deal' with one again!

conger eels are a cunt to unhook lol me and the old man dabble in the sea fishing up north oban fortwilliam diretion for bull huss sharks spurdog tope and smoothe hound sharks now they are tricky feckers to get a hook out of skate aswell they dont like sitting piece.

if the mrs caught the eel it should of been her job to unhook the beast lol its also known if women go fishing there more than likely to catch more than men because of there hormones if they touch the line bait etc ive found that out by taking the mrs and she always opens the can of woopass when we go fishing

I love fishing,i do abit of everything apart from fly fishing,i mostly fish weekend opens and a club match every 2 weeks with the odd midweek open when i've got the time and transport,also live on the east coast so do a bit of sea fishing .Suposed to be going to collingham/cromwell lock/wier on the trent for some BIG FISH action,targeting barbel and zander but no doute i'll catch a gudgeon or 2 on a 10mm pellet and a size 6 hook,its happened in the past the greedy little fuckers.

Conga eels are quite easy to handle if you know how,just lay em on there backs and run your hand down its belly and they lay there for ages without moving at all,puts em in a trance type state,works with all eels not just congas
