Ive been thinking the same with canna aqua..
Was talking to the guys in the grow shop and suggested Plant magic..
They said it is made in the uk for uk water and canna is made for dutch water..
Not sure how true this can be.? It might be the same for Bio-Biz.. Where is it made.?
Peace..
I actually think there are 2 groups of people who get the yellowing with BB nutrients.
I use Bio Bizz in my soil grows and have not often had the early yellowing but I do use JI composts. WHen I have used light mixes and started feeding the BB earlier, I dont get any yellowing, when I rely on the nutes within the soil, I get yellowing.
This is one group, those who rely on the soils nutes and dont feed early enough.
Because BB has to be converted into a form of nutrition plants can take up, starting to feed a little later may mean there just isnt enough N in the soil to cover during the stretch.
The other group is in the lockout camp.
Those in hard water area's, where there is lots of calcium in the water will see early yellowing as the Mg gets locked out by too much Calcium.
This may show as either yellowing or Mg def.
So it may be that if we can somehow monitor the area's where people are experiencing deficiencies, so we know what water they have, it may hold some answers.

Any suggestions are opinion only. I get some right, I get some wrong but I always try to help.

I have a lots of calcium in my tap water and used to have Mg Def 3 weeks into flowering (but not any more)
I use biobizz soil, grow and bloom
just add 1 tbsp of Epson salts to some boiling water and then add it to 10-15 ltrs of water/nutes (once) before the second week in flower.
job done

Hi xxxxxxxx,
Thnx for the feedback and our respect for your help and support to the forum members. A few things and arguments pop into our heads immediately:
A Calcium Magnesium deficiency is impossible. There is no nutrient producer that would be so stupid not to make sure there is more than enough Cal/Mag available in any of the products. So basically, all products on the market have an actual surplus of both elements for sure. Some producers might offer it in separate bottles, but this is just a commercial scam:-)
So what can cause this calcium magnesium deficiency? Because it is a fact for sure that people suffer from such a problem
1: People are not using Bio-grow during flowering as we recommend ( about 10-20% of all cases )
2: People are overdosing, causing a nitrogen blockage of the roots: a first sign of such a blockage: calcium def. Second sign: magnesium def.
( 60-70% of all cases )
3: Problems with the water quality ( hard water /soft water, low or high pH and Ec levels): even with organics nutrients you can bump into problems. (10-30% of all cases ) The best way to tackle such a problem is for instance with some Epson salt.
If people are really struggeling with crappy tab water in their area:
advise RO water, rainwater or letting the water rest for 24-48 hours before use. Since the water quality is a big problem in many parts of the UK, we are sure you have many efficient tips and tricks how to tackle problems caused by crappy tab water. Us dutchies are not as experienced with crappy tab water as you in the UK.
So, we are not sure if this is an answer you can appreciate, but the cal/mag deficiency caused by a nutrient is a myth. Cal/mag deficiency is caused by people and by water.

I noticed this the other day.
On the biobizz feeding chart it says to use 1ml per litre of grow from start to finish of the grow.
If you read the back of the grow bottle, it says to use 2-4ml per litre WITH EVERY WATERING.
I have always used a water, water feed routine and always get defficiencys.
Iv upped the grow to 2ml every watering and iv noticed a big difference in growth.
Smokeface
bio bizz please could you give me some advice on this
2 plants side by side I have given Epson salt to one plant and not the other plant
took one pic in the evening and one the next day so i can see and know the difference between them
used 1 tablespoon of Epson salt in some boiling water and added it to 10ltrs of water about a week in flower
did not use any epson salt an till week 2 of flower and just got a couple of leaves looking like this
without adding any epson salt I could have 4-6 fan leaves looking like this, not bad but can't be good
(is this mag def or have i got it wrong)

I have way found bio bizz soil very good if you add some epson salt.
no complaints as the yield I have pulled have been very good 16 oz's+ under a 600w hps in soil 4 plants
doing a grow on here now with bio bizz soil/grow,bloom, all growing very well for a average yielding strain (super silver haze)
could hit 3oz's a plant
