My bags turned up on Friday, excellent delivery as i only ordered them thursday, So as soon as I got in from work it was time to bubble. I got the 4 bag set, here is the bits you get
Bubbs found me a bin that was just the right size for the 1 gallon bags
Whacked the bags in, finest bag is the first in 25, 73, 160 and 220 bags
Nearly set now, time to fill the bucket with water, ice and trim and give it a quick stir
Then give it a blast with the mixer for 20 minutes
Mmmmmmm, nice head. I found i needed to add more ice half way through
Then its time to roll a spliff and chill for 20 minutes while it all settles out. The first bag out takes out all the trim and the remaining ice leaving the 3 goodie bags First is the 160 micron bag, looks a bit gritty
Followed by the 73 micron bag a lot more in here
Last but not least the super fine 25 micron bag. Takes a while for the water to drain out of this one but is worth the wait
I found a plate at the bottom of the bag helps scraping the paste off the bags, i also rinse off any remaining residue into the next bag still in the bucket cos i'm tight and dont want to waste any
I ended up with 3 wet dollops of bubble on my pressing screen
After a good squeeze under the rolling pin i got 3 not so wet splodges of bubble
The small dark one on the left is the 160 micron bubble. It felt a bit gritty and didnt stick together well when dry using finger pressure. This bag produces the least amount of bubble but none the less was still a good smoke
I did another run with fresh trim and put it all together, the finished products
The one on the top is the 73 micron bubble. This bag produces the most bubble and is a lovely black that is easily molded with the fingers at room temperature. Only had one joint of this one so far but its really nice and smooth, nice and easy to roll into sausages.
The bottom one is the full on 25 micron bubble. Slightly less in this bag than the 73 micron but alot more than the 160. The hash from this one is going to cause me trouble i can see. It is uber sticky and very soft at room temperature. It is hard to mold as it sticks to everything it kept getting stuck to my fingers trying to mold it into a stick, and it left my hands feeling sticky.
I havent tried any of it yet but i know its gonna kickass, i'm saving it for a special occasion - Bubbs Birthday tomorrow
I have got to say im loving the bubble bags, i enjoyed the process, i will be giving the trim a second bubble tomorrow and next weekend i will be bubbling the cheese trim i got - can't wait
