The pump comes on at different intervals flooding the top tray where your plants will be therfore getting the nutes to the roots then as it fills up the other tank connector acts like an over flow so if the water reaches that level it just drains back into the bottom and when the pump shuts off the water just runs back down into the resoviour ready to get pumped back up when the pump comes back on

its quite easy how it works

    hope that helped

I'd probably run a smallish bubbler along with a soil grow just to get the feel of it, but there's always this voice in the back of my head saying "soil tastes best"
I guess it's going to be a case of suck it and see

When do you plan to have this up & runnin?

the clay pebbles go over and around the rockwool supporting the plant then once you have it covered up to the stems add a little bit more and thats it

you will be able to fit 3 plants in that but i am going to ave 2 in each

    hope that help man

A little off topic, but this is the kind of grow that inspires me to have a go with hydro.

    Strain D-39 (2)
    Method: SCROG
Grow Area: roughly 14 sq. ft.
    System: Autopot (1)
    Medium: Coco/Perlite 60/40
Light: 600 watt Solarmax HPS air cooled
Nutes: GH Micro, GH Bloom, Advanced Nutrients Big Bud

This is a current grow by Jimmy Chimpo, what's left to say?
